I'm not sure if "allo...Hi Christina/David. I'm not sure if "allows portable capture" is as meaningful as it could be. The unit requires external power which severely limits it's usefulness to mobile journalists. I had a chat with Blackmagic Design's President, Dan May, last week and he didn't think they would have a unit powered over Thunderbolt in the foreseeable future.<br />See you at IBC?
